Courtney is the lead occupational therapist at Treehouse Pediatric Therapy, and she is so thankful for having such an amazing team to work alongside. While growing up, Courtney had several opportunities working with children of varying backgrounds and abilities, and each opportunity she had only further solidified her passion for pediatrics. Once she discovered pediatric occupational therapy, she knew she had found her calling in life. Courtney loves that each day is different at Treehouse and finds true joy in working with each of her kids and their families and watching as each one of them grows. She loves seeing children accomplish new skills that they previously saw as challenging and the excitement it brings to the children and their families.

Courtney attended school at Saint Louis University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Science and her Master of Occupational Therapy degrees. Throughout her career, Courtney has had experience in the pediatric outpatient and school settings. Through these, she has had the opportunity to work with a diverse caseload of various ages and diagnoses. She also specializes in performing feeding therapy and continues to expand her knowledge in this practice area. Courtney continues to seek out other continuing education opportunities to further expand her knowledge in pediatrics to provide the best quality care to all those at Treehouse.

In her free time, Courtney enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as finding any activity to do outdoors. She also enjoys spending time volunteering through St. Sophia’s and helping foster kittens. Another passion of Courtney’s is travelling, and she hopes to one day make it to all 50 states and all 7 continents.

Kathleen serves as a full-time occupational therapist at Treehouse and is also contracted at SEAL School Romeoville. From leading the gardening groups to helping build the Treehouse Neuro Team, her work at Treehouse reflects her passion for the holistic and meaningful application of occupational therapy. Through child-centered care, Kathleen is dedicated to cultivating an environment that fosters mental health, self-awareness, and meaningful engagement.

Kathleen graduated from Huntington University in May of 2021 with her doctoral degree in occupational therapy. She has had fieldwork experience in outpatient pediatrics and adult neurological. In her time at Treehouse, Kathleen became a Certified Neuro Specialist (CNS) to provide high-quality care to the pediatric neurological population.  Kathleen is also a certified Living in Place Professional, specializing in home adaptations, modifications, and design to promote independence in the home for people of all ages.

In addition to her clinical experience, Kathleen has had advanced research experience in the areas of behavioral health, social participation, community programming, and occupational justice. She has been published in two journals, lead a research project at a public health department related to mental health and social participation, and worked as a research assistant in a university studying family conflict management and child attachment. In 2019, Kathleen accompanied a group of therapists and students in Guatemala to provide seating and positioning assessments and adaptations for children and adults with disabilities.

In her free time Kathleen loves to volunteer at a local community theatre, watch movies, care for her plants, and listen to audiobooks. She loves being part of the Treehouse Team!

Ana is an occupational therapist at Treehouse Pediatric Therapy. Ana values making her treatments client-centered in order to motivate her clients to reach their fullest potential. Ana always strives to develop meaningful relationships with all her clients and their families. There is no better feeling to her when she sees her clients overcome their obstacles no matter how big or small!

Ana graduated from Midwestern University with a doctoral degree in occupational therapy and obtained a bachelors degree in Liberal Arts & Sciences from the University of Illinois – Chicago with a major in communications and a minor in psychology. During graduate school Ana was awarded a scholarship that allowed her to complete additional coursework focused on mental health in school settings. In addition, Ana has fieldwork experience in a special education cooperative and adult inpatient. Ana has previous experience in ABA therapy working as a Senior Registered Behavior Technician where she found her passion in wanting to help others and work in pediatrics.

Ana is a huge dog lover, enjoys working out and spending time with her family/friends. She is also a huge book fanatic and sets a yearly goal on how many books to read!

Angie is a Midwestern University graduate with her Masters of Occupational Therapy. Angie has been practicing since 2016. She has worked in various pediatric settings including early intervention, clinic based services, and school based therapy. Currently, Angie works full time in the school based setting with elementary students. Angie’s areas of special interest are sensory processing and integration, and fine motor and visual motor skill development. Angie’s approach to therapy is holistic through play based interventions. In her free time you can find Angie going for walks with her dog and husband, baking, remodeling her house, or spending time with her family and friends.

Brittany is a speech-language pathologist, also working in an elementary school helping children with articulation, language, and pragmatics. She has a passion for working with children and helping people, and loves that her job allows her to do both. She loves watching children grow and succeed as they work towards their goals.

Brittany received her undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Illinois State University, and a graduate degree from Midwestern University. Brittany holds a professional license from the State of Illinois, and a Professional Educator License in the area of Speech Language Pathology.

When not providing therapy, Brittany likes to spend time with her family, friends and dog, Louie.

Rachel’s love and passion for children has inspired her to work as a Speech Language Pathologist at Treehouse. Watching children grow, transform, and thrive is a unique experience Rachel feels privileged to be a part of.  She enjoys working with younger children and assisting them to improve their speech and language skills to better communicate with their family and peers.  She believes when children have the tools to effectively express themselves it can dramatically decrease behavioral breakdowns and increase positive social experiences.  

Rachel received her master’s degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences from Eastern Illinois University in 2011 and a bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Augustana College. At Eastern, Rachel was awarded a Graduate Assistantship for the Dean of the Graduate School. Rachel holds a Professional License from the State of Illinois, and a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). Throughout Rachel’s career she has enjoyed working with both pediatric and adult populations. 

When not working to improve the outcomes of her clients, she enjoys being a chef/chauffeur to her four young children (Lucy, Meredith, Stanley, and Caleb).  She starts her mornings curled up on the couch with a good book and coffee before running her children to gymnastics, ninja, soccer and whatever other interest of the season.  She also loves working on moving up the Peloton leaderboard and squeezing in a few Fun Runs every year.

Lubaina received her Bachelor’s degree in accounting at Depaul University’s School of Business. Prior to working at Treehouse, Lubaina worked as a realtor. At Treehouse you will see Lubaina at the front desk assisting patients with registration and scheduling, answering questions about insurance, collecting payments, and ensuring, overall, that you and your child have a positive experience at Treehouse.

Lubaina’s favorite experience at Treehouse Pediatrics is seeing patients make huge strides in meeting or exceeding their therapy goals. Lubaina most enjoys interacting and working with both parents and children. Treehouse takes great pride in treating our families with compassion and understanding when they walk through the door, and Lubaina facilitates that.
