Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a typical appointment take?

Appointments usually last 45 – 60 minutes.

Is a referral needed for an appointment?

Yes, a referral/prescription from a physician is required for pediatric therapy services to be provided.  Please have your doctor fax your prescription or bring it with you to your first appointment.

What types of insurance do you accept?

We are in-network with the following PPOs: Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois and Aetna.

We accept HMO’s from Illinois Health Partners (also known as DuPage Medical Group and Edwards Health Partners) and Dreyer Medical Clinic.

While we are out-network with Cigna, we are in-network with their pricing partner MultiPlan.  What that means is that we can bill Cigna for your services and the cost of the services will be subject to a MultiPlan fee schedule, which is normally lower than the Cigna out of network rates.  HOWEVER, Cigna card holders are still subject to out of network deductibles, out-of-locket, co-insurance rates, etc, when coming to Treehouse.

We will not bill any other insurance companies.

Do you offer self-pay discounts?

Yes.  If you would like to pay us without insurance billing, our rate for evaluations is $175.00 and for treatments is $100.00

How do I know if my child can benefit from pediatric therapy?

Please consult your physician or call us to schedule a free 15-minute screening at the clinic for physical, occupational or speech therapy.

Do you offer social skills groups?

Yes. We offer two types of groups.  We offer a Social Thinking Group, which is led by an Occupational Therapist and a Social Communications Class, which is led by a speech therapist.   The groups range in size from 3-5 children.

How frequent are appointments?

Generally once a week and will decrease per discussions between you and your pediatric therapist.
